Club Inergy
A popular nightspot for gay and lesbian Latinos, Inergy is divided into two clubs -- one Tejano, one
disco. The Tejano club is large,
with lots of seating and two bars. Large video screens take up most of one wall, and the DJ mixes a few salsa tunes in with the cumbias and
Tejano music. The disco is smaller with no seating, and features dance and hip-hop music. Most people are in their 20s, but expect everyone from 18 year olds to folks in
their 40s. The crowd is friendly, with cowboys, salseros, rockers and drag queens mingling easily. And all of them are intent on dancing.
Its mostly women on Friday nights, men on Saturdays and drag queens on Sundays, but everyone is always welcome.
