Luna Lounge is one of those hidden hot spots that
only people who are hardcore club hoppers know about. It’s an upstairs club sitting above Carmine’s a place that many consider to be a dive, but is more like a venerable establishment just showing its age. But the contrast between Luna Lounge and Carmine’s couldn’t be more stark.
Once you enter Luna Lounge you step into a world
of lights and sound. It attracts a young and
energetic crowd. Lots of college students clog
the dance floor and swarm around the bar. It’s a
singles scene and frenetic environment. Part of the attraction is the sheer cool factor. It’s hip, yet not pretentious. Everyone is there
to pose, posture and mingle, but there is a
decided lack of attitude. Cozy couches make for
comfy seating, and the ample dance floor gives
everyone just enough space to shake their groove
thing. The ambience is enhanced by big video screens and even a couple of fish tanks.
